Sports fans excited about the GPS!

CKOiOn Wednesday, October 5, CKOI 104.7 FM aired our friendly encounter with hosts Nicolas St-Pierre and Dominic Fugère during their daily show Les amateurs de sports. André Durivage and Isabelle Giroux had the opportunity to showcase the General Profiler for Sports (GPS), focusing the discussion on the test’s psychometric features and how sports organizations can use it to enhance athlete performance.

Dominic Fugère was already familiar with tests like this from his football experiences and he was intrigued to know what made the GPS different from other products on the market. André Durivage explained to him that most existing tests focus mainly on generic testing while the GPS includes concepts related to spatial awareness, motivating factors and personality traits. Nicolas St-Pierre for his part was curious about EPSI’s relationship with the Ottawa Senators and wondered why Claude Giroux was involved early on with the GPS. Was it because he was Isabelle’s brother?… Isabelle answered yes, pointing out that the match between her brother’s test results and what she knew of his character traits confirmed that the test did accurately measure the personal characteristics it had been developed to evaluate. She also shared with the show’s listeners how the GPS helped the Senators’ decision-making during the latest draft when they picked the young star Mika Zibanejad.

We wish to thank Nicolas and Dominic for offering us such a marvelous opportunity to promote the General Profiler for Sports. You can listen to the full interview at CKOI.
